The Department of Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts regulates and supervises all boxing, kickboxing, tough man, and mixed martial arts events in Arizona to ensure compliance with laws and regulation and, thereby, protect all participants.

Comments on the proposed rule changes may be made as directed in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. New "48 Hour” Rule requirement for all medicals, License applications, etc.
This is a reminder that provisions of the Arizona law covering boxing and Mixed Martial Arts were amended last year and require, among other things, that all medical exams, blood tests, license applications and other paperwork for boxers, MMA fighters and corner men be submitted to the AZ Boxing & MMA Commission office at least 2 DAYS BEFORE
the scheduled event. The specific language is stated in A.R.S. § 5-228.G.
